Glynn Revill

After finishing University in 1997 with a BA (Hons) degree in Business Administration, I joined Carrs of Sheffield.  My first role in the company was in the production services department, where I learnt about the manufacturing processes of silverware, and this knowledge has been invaluable to my current role today. By 2003, I had moved onto hold positions such as ‘Orders Data Processor’ and ‘Purchasing Manager’, which have helped me develop an understanding and awareness of how Carrs functions on a day to day basis.

When Ron Carr offered me the opportunity to move into the finance side of the business my career path changed. I wasn’t going to turn down this opportunity, as it was a role I was determined to succeed in. Over the last seven years I have assisted three experienced Financial Accountants, who have helped me develop and further my career in the accounts function. In 2010, I qualified as a ‘Chartered Management Accountant’ and I now lead the financial side of the business with the help of the excellent accounts team.

For the future I want to help the business grow by the supplying the Shareholders, Directors and Management Team with accurate, timely and quality information and reporting to assist all areas of the business.
