A match made in heaven: Carrs Silver and Nina Campbell

A little while ago, we had the pleasure of collaborating with esteemed interior designer Nina Campbell on a range of beautiful photo frames. This was a great creative project for us at Carrs, and we were honoured to be working with a designer of Nina’s calibre. If you are not familiar with Nina herself, there’s little doubt you’ll be familiar with some of her prestigious clients; Ringo Starr, Rod Stewart and the Duke and Duchess of York, to name just a few.

Nina’s work features the long-held belief that a house should be personally tailored to the individual residing in it. As a result, she has designed homes all over the world, many for returning, committed clients.

We connected with Nina after many years of mutual respect for each other’s work. Nina’s company contacted us back in September 2015, intending on working alongside ourselves to reproduce antique silverware. Shortly after, managing director Richard Carr and former special projects manager Tony Martin made the trip down to London to meet with Nina and her son Max to set the wheels in motion. However, as talks continued, the project evolved into a modern take on Nina’s classic wallpaper designs engraved and immortalized onto our sterling silver photo frames.

The result was a set of six frames, five being our classic sterling silver finish and one with a feature oak back. Nina’s designs are both modern and elegant, meaning they sit well in traditional and contemporary settings alike - something we think is mirrored in the products we create here at Carrs.
